Give the poster a break. We often see the preorder post, then the prepared for shipment post and finally the most important shipped post...
No, the "mine arrived this morning" would be the most important one.
OP, I'm happy for you. But barring an unusual shipping flub, no matter what it says, you'll get it on the 16th with all the rest of the preorders and AFTER the ones who camp out and buy at an Apple store that morning.
My iPad I ordered on the 7th was shipped according to the email I got this morning. The FedEx # doesn't work yet though for me, btw. And I'm not expecting to receive it early or anything - just nice to know it's being processed to arrive on time.

I got the "one of your items have shipped" email at 2:37 this morning and it's coming from China has left Hong Kong and is suppost to be here via UPS on the 16th
You might as well get over it as this is an exciting time for the iPad forum and you have not seen anything yet. Just wait till next Wednesday through Friday. People will be freaking out. Just try to relax and if a post upsets you, move on to another.
Do you have any tracking info on yours? I got the same info and while it has tracking info for the A/V adapter, it doesn't for the iPad. I can't imagine they would ship them seperately.
I read Steve Jobs book and still don't know how Apple can control shipping company's like Fed Ex and UPS.
Apple is basically using their centers as distribution facilities, forcing them to hold on to the product to be delivered on a certain date.
You wold think when it is shipped out, it gets delivered based on the type.

same here. Got the email for the one i ordered on the 7th with a fedex tracking number that doesn't work, but still nothing on the one I ordered early yesterday morning (the one I am really waiting for). figures
