iPad (3rd gen) Shipped!

My iPad shipped too, my apple tv hasnt though

Mine was shipped with FedEx as well.

So I went back to check how long did it take FedEx to ship my iPad 2 from China last year. It was shipped on March 13th and arrived on March 16th last year (hey! exactly 1 year!), so... 3 business days? Is there chance that we will get our iPads early? Or is FedEx under Apple's order that they won't deliver iPads before the 16th?

You might as well get over it as this is an exciting time for the iPad forum and you have not seen anything yet. Just wait till next Wednesday through Friday. People will be freaking out. Just try to relax and if a post upsets you, move on to another.

He's trolling ... it's silly that people take the time to try to bring others down with negative comments.

What's that line from Social Network? Something about the angry sitting at their computers typing away. Mara Rooney's character says it referring to Zuck's blog post about her.

It's Friday, it's sunny, and my iPad shipped. Great day so far and it's only 2 hours into the workday!

I read Steve Jobs book and still don't know how Apple can control shipping company's like Fed Ex and UPS.

Apple is basically using their centers as distribution facilities, forcing them to hold on to the product to be delivered on a certain date.

You wold think when it is shipped out, it gets delivered based on the type.

UPS will almost always hold things based on delivery dates. Apple isn't the only one this happens with.

Also with UPS MyChoice you can hold a package for $5 till you want it delivered, pretty standard practice. Apple isn't getting anything special here.

I also got the email at 12:44 am. My IP3 with engraving has shipped from HongKong, via UPS, and is now somewhere over the Pacific. Still shows delivery as the 16th. My ATV3 has NOT shipped yet.

Do you have any tracking info on yours? I got the same info and while it has tracking info for the A/V adapter, it doesn't for the iPad. I can't imagine they would ship them seperately.

I received the tracking info on it and watched it fly in from Memphis.
