iPad iPad 3rd Gen vs iPad Air Full Battery Charge Question

I currently have the iPad (3rd Generation) I've gotten used to it but by any chance has the time to fully charge an iPad Air from 0% to 100% improved at all?

It takes FOREVER on my iPad (3rd Generatikn) compared to my iPhone 5s Gold 64GB

the iPad Air comes with a 12w charger which is provides more power than the one included with iPad 3 (10w). The battery capacity of iPad Air is quite a bit smaller as compared to iPad 3 too, so it probably charges faster than the iPad 3. I never really noticed the difference as I've always left my iPad 3 and Air to charge at the back when it requires charging..

The iPad Air will most definitely still takes a longer time to charge as compared to the iPhone
