I have the same iPad on iOS 12. Can you share “last 24 hours” and “last 10 days” screenshots, please?Well, I have the iPad Pro 9.7" which runs on a A9X. The performance is fine, but the battery life is abysmal!
I now have less than 12 hours of battery life screen off, sleeping. Doing very light stuff, like playing some music, the battery life is down to maybe 2 hours.
Thank you so much for the screenshots! Wow, yes, that does not look good at all. Heavy standby drop, and 2h of screen-on time on 60% isn’t good at all. Mine isn’t amazing on iOS 12, it’s not anywhere near iOS 9, but it’s about 4.5 hours on 60% with web browsing. I see you used it for YouTube, how high was your brightness?
Yeah, if brightness wasn’t at 100%, then it’s not good, even if YouTube is heavier than web browsing. I’d call battery health largely irrelevant, especially on iPads. Their battery is so large that even degraded batteries should work well if they were to be left on a reasonably early iOS version. Battery health is even irrelevant on iPhones, with my 6s on iOS 10 with 63% health being pretty close to my previous 6s on iOS 9 with 100% health. The only thing that matters is the iOS version, unfortunately, like I said, even more on iPads.Well, it was my kid who watched YT on it, I don’t think he cranked the brightness.
What worries me most is that if you look at 2 days ago, it was fully charged and drained without me even turning it on. I should have made a screenshot of that when it came alive again. Crazy.
The batteey is at 75% ”health” according to cocoabattery. Not great, but the ”hit” battery life took when upgrading to iPadOs 16 is crazy.
What’s that spike from 0% to 100%?It is crazy. Look at last 24 hours. Put to sleep after midnight with around 60%, drained by the morning. "Settings" being the app that has chewed up all battery. Also, screen on for 3 minutes...
The battery has quite a few cycles, around 450 iirc, but not crazy, it is not a new device.
There has to be something badly wrong. I guess I have to bite the bullet and reinstall it.
It is more or less only used for recipies and music in the kitchen. The YouTube:ing is my son watching youtube on it in the car on trips.

Cycles and battery health is never a reason for bad battery life on iPads, in my experience it is typically the iOS version, usage, or both. This is for screen-on time. You have a huge standby drain, too, and no easily discernible reason for it.It is crazy. Look at last 24 hours. Put to sleep after midnight with around 60%, drained by the morning. "Settings" being the app that has chewed up all battery. Also, screen on for 3 minutes...
