There were some analysts which claimed Apple would launch the iPad mini. So while you have to take all rumors with a grain of salt, their speculation sometimes is correct.

Agreed. However we had physical proof of the iPad mini months before like the screen or some misc. parts. None of that has surfaced at this point so close to the supposed march release.

What if they just make the ipad 4 thinner like the mini. It'd be enough to get people to change

I for one can't wait for a thinner and lighter full size iPad despite getting a 4 in December. As it is, the iPad is somewhat of a fat whale and over time it takes a toll on your hands and wrists if you're holding it. I'll just sell the 4 on eBay and upgrade in March if that's how it's gonna be.

Got a 4 in December and took it back on the 7th for a full refund. Too heavy!

Can't believe how heavy it felt compared to my 2 which I will stick with until the 5 comes out. Only about 50/60 grams extra but you sure notice it.
