My iPad 7th Gen is showing an iPadOS 17.7 update, not iPadOS 18 update.

Edit: iPadOS 18 is available after 17.7 update for 7th Gen iPad

Mine is also showing 17.7. Anyone have insight to when iPadOS 18 will be released?

My iPhone 13 mini just finished updating to 17.7, and now software update lists that iOS 18 is available. Maybe the same thing will happen with the iPad 7th gen.

Yeah, after updating to 17.7 on the 7th Gen iPad, now iPadOS 18 is available to update.

Before updating to 17.7 you could have just scrolled to the end of the site offering 17.7. There would have been the option to update to 18.0.

That's entirely possible. I thought it said iOS / iPad OS 18 at the bottom. In my excitement, I must have clicked "Update Now" not realizing it was for 17.7 listed at the top, and not 18, listed below.

Mine was showing the update for 17.7, and I decided to do that, but had other things to take care of first. When I got around to it, the 17.7 update was not showing up. I went ahead and made the jump to 18. I'm not sure what happened to the "offer" of 17.7, and can't remember now everything I did after seeing it, so I can't assign the cause of the disappearance to a particular action.
