It works. What specifically are you looking for?
Tapping on the Safari icon open safari, slightly slower than on my iPad Pro 10.5.

It’s gonna be a little slow on the Air, my advice wait till 11.1 drops then do a clean restore to that and start fresh, overall shouldn’t be different from iOS 10 in the end as far as performance is concerned.

I have iOS 11 on a Mini 2 (roughly equivalent). It averages to about the same on iOS 10 (there are some things I swear are faster, slightly, but most stuff seems the same).

My 16gb Air got super slow on IOS 10 the last few months. Did a clean restore on IOS 11. Seemed to help for a quick minute but its back to being really delayed. Hoping the next update will help but losing confidence. :(

My dad installed 11 on his Air 1 recently by accident and as far as I can tell it seems to perform similar to 10.

I agree - mine is working about the same as with 10.3.3 or whatever was the latest prior to iOS 11.0 Overall, the Air1 is starting to show its age though....for sure. Im gonna hold out a little longer before I jump on a 10.5" pro. I think. :D

Personally, I’d wait for next year’s iPads!
