Interesting to see that the video exports took 14% longer on the Air than the Pro. Not a big deal, but I wonder why.
I didn't know the Air was limited to USB 2. I can confirm I can get USB 3 speeds out of the iPad Pro 10.5" with the Lighting to USB 3 adapter, using a USB 3 flash card reader. Also, it should be noted that I had issues using that USB 3 flash card reader on my old USB 2 iPad Air 2 through that Lightning to USB 3 adapter.

When I switched to a USB 2 flash card reader on the iPad Air 2, the issues went away:
iPad Pro 10.5 --> Lightning to USB 3 Adapter --> USB 3 card reader --> UDMA CF = Works, fast speed
iPad Pro 10.5 --> Lightning to USB 3 Adapter --> USB 2 card reader --> UDMA CF = Works, moderate speed
iPad Air 2 --> Lightning to USB 3 Adapter --> USB 3 card reader --> UDMA CF = Doesn't work or VERY slow
iPad Air 2 --> Lightning to USB 3 Adapter --> USB 2 card reader --> UDMA CF = Works, moderate speed
I wonder if those issues could occur on the Air 3 like they do on my Air 2.
In the review he states that games will be faster on the Pro, but that's just based on the Geekbench Metal score it seems. They may be in some games, but it should be noted that some games are faster on the Air than the Pro in other reviews. I'm not sure those who tested the games limited the Pro to 60 Hz though so that could be a factor.

Yes but, you know everyone on here says “I can’t see pro-motion” the A12 is faster in real world performance.
I think the iPad Pro 2nd gen is a much better iPad.

iPad Pro 10.5” is the better choice on paper ... until you get hit with the white / bright spot defect.
Even though I recently purchased a 10.5 Pro (Apple refurb), I would agree with that. Indeed, if I manage to escape the bright spot curse, I'll consider myself fortunate.
Meh. If I were to get the white spot, I'll consider myself unfortunate. However, if I don't get the white spot, I will consider myself part of the silent majority.
Same goes for my 12" MacBook keyboard.
That was my initial reaction. I'm now of the belief that the situation is worse than it appears. Still, I went in with my eyes open and I'm covered for two years with AppleCare+. After that I really don't care. In two years, the way things are changing, I'll have moved on to something else anyhow.
Wow, that really sucks. I had assumed they kept the same 3 year warranty as before with AppleCare, but that is not the case. Lame.
That makes my free extended warranty from my credit card seem even better than before now. Not quite the same as AppleCare+, but it doesn't cost any extra on my credit card so I'm happier with that.
The reason I didn't rely on the simple warranty and an Amex extension is in case Apple or Amex tried to pass off a bright spot problem as accidental cosmetic damage.
No it’s not the easy choice. I decided on the Air. I also can’t see pro-motion. I had both iPads in my hands for the last 24 hours. I still went with the Air. Yes I saw the video before deciding, amongst many others.
I went air as well.
The longer support that is quite likely trumps everything else for me as I don’t buy these items every day and I like staying current
