This is probably a stupid question but if I subscribe to the Netflix plan that includes 4k, will that be noticeable on iPad Air 2? I don't have a 4K TV but I do watch Netflix on my iPad sometimes.

The screen on your device is too small to make any noticeable difference.

You might see some difference. Your iPad only can reach a certain resolution. 4K is well above that.

    Short answer:

No Apple device is listed as compatible with Netflix Ultra HD 4K.

    Long answer:

4K media does look better at lower resolution.

You'll need a supported device and HDCP 2.2 compliant display.

Best low cost device for 4K media is $69 Chromecast Ultra.

Best versatile ARM device for 4K media and gaming is $199+ Nvidia Shield TV.

Ultimate device for everything is Windows 10 device with Kaby Lake iGPU. Or, non-Kaby Lake CPU with Nvidia GTX 1050Ti or higher dGPU. If using an external display it needs to be HDCP 2.2 compliant.
