iPad Air 2 grey screen?

So I was browsing the web on my iPad today when all of a sudden my screen turned half grey.
I haven't dropped it or anything, it basically sits on my desk all day. I've tried restarting it but the problem still persists. Anybody have any idea what the deal is?

Honestly looks like a digitiser failed to me. I'd suggest heading to your local Apple Store.
