Yeah, you were right about turbo boost. No problem with that.

Still, it doesn't change the fact that even the 1,1Ghz Core M is more powerful and more capable AT THE MOMENT than the A8X.

And in this case you have to think about software. There is absolutely ZERO proper apps for ARM that we use all the time on x86. The change needs time. There is no way around it. It needs effort from Apple and 3rd developers.
 
The iPhone 6 has specs similar to what android phones had years ago and look how well it performs.

Only when it comes to RAM. Apple CPU and graphics are killer whenever they come out.

GHz and cores don't matter.

And to the OP... No, the mobile chip is not more powerful than the x86 one.
