iPad iPad Air 2 with pre-installed IOS9 -> when to buy?

when do you think should I buy an iPad Air 2 directly at apple.com that it comes with pre-installed IOS 9?
On 16.09 or a day or two later?
Do you got any experiences with previous IOS versions and those situations?

It will take weeks, possibly months, for all the devices with iOS 8 installed to work their way through Apple's (and other vendors') inventory. If you want iOS 9 and want to buy one anytime soon, you'll almost certainly need to update it yourself, which is NOT a big deal.

Agreed, it will likely be at least 2-3 weeks or more. Since no air3 this year, just run the update.
