seeing people post about air 3 problems like white spots on here and specially on reddit. You already know this

The small (relative to all Apple buyers at large) community of enthusiasts on here are by no means indicative of the greater group as a whole. Problems are amplified on here because of the nature of enthusiast groups. You've done your due diligence. You did your research, purchased the product that fit your needs, and took necessary precautions for added peace of mind. The vast majority of owners, myself included, love our Airs, as will you. Congratulations, and enjoy! :)

Bought three on Black Friday. Not a single issue with any of them.

I see usually it takes 8-12 months for it to appear.

From what I understood about the white spot problem is that it is probably caused by putting too much physical pressure on the home button or any specific screen area for a while. Applying this repeated strong pressure can then cause the spot appearing for some people, usually after a while. The YouTube DIY solutions to fix it include using household suction cup devices to pull the screen back up in the affected area. If you have a light touch, you may not be affected at all. 🖐

I see that’s good to know appreciate it. Yeah ill be using it for shows and YouTube only so I should be good

Just enjoy your device. In my experience, the harder you look for problems the more likely you are to find them. If there is a problem that’s what the AppleCare is for. Apple will make sure you end up with a device you’re happy with.

Just got a replacement because I had the bright spot. having a look at the forums here it seems that it’s quite seldom for the Air 3 to get the white spot.

Never did any pressure on the screen. The guy at the Apple store said its likely a swollen battery which presses on the display from behind.
