Thanks for all the replys, I've finally found a way to comfortably hold the Air with boths hands. Basically what I do is use one hand as the "grip" hand and the other as support hand. Thes upport hands is passsive and just supports the wight. Before, i used both hands as grip hands, and the reason that was uncomfortable was that you basically push the edges into the palm of the other hand.

The reason why I don't want to buy a mini even though it's more comfortable to use is the color/gamut. Not to make this another gamut thread, but if could choose between gamut or retina resolution, I think I would go for gamut.. But after my recent discovery it seems like I can keep my Air!

Yeah, play Around with the positioning. I like the portability of the mini, but it's just a pain to browse and do things on the small screen. I feel like it's not much bigger than an iPhone but yet the small size sometimes dictate holding it as close to your face as an iPhone.

WTF is that thing? It looks like some kind of gym equipment. If you need a 40lb rig to hold a 1lb iPad something is wrong. :D

For me it is not the weight but rather the sharp edge and slippery cold aluminum that makes it uncomfortable. I just put it in a SmartCase and find it a lot more comfortable to hold. I support the weight with my lap or rest my hands on a surface when I hold it like I do when I read a book of similar weight.
