iPad Air iPad Air creaking resolved?

Hey all,

Thinking of picking up a new Air with the student deal, only thing is I’m wanting to know if this creaking issue is a design defect or just a build quality issue with the first batch?

Don't have one, so didn't vote, but the fact that this continues to not be reported as a major issue should tell you that you can buy with confidence.

I bought one as a gift, but while setting it up I didn’t notice it. IMHO something is only an issue if you notice it without going looking for it.

It was delivered in May, so perhaps not the first batch.

What, has iPad Mini 6 jelly lost favor? iPad Pro 12.9 blooming too?

I've been wading through the pages of testing protocols and temperature app reports. Apple engineer testing probably didn't get that detailed.

Which then gives the "content creators" something to harp on for weeks and weeks. I'd bet money the next generation of iPad Air reviews will include some snide comment about "the creak", much like "the notch" on the MacBooks.
