Funny story about my iPad Ar 64GB that just arrived from Best Buy...

(I was worried they wouldn't believe me since the UPS box had no damage and was sealed with tape that said "Contents audited for accuracy" all over it. But they just reordered one for me so it'll be here by friday.)

The price on the Apple refurb site is actually $10 more at $389. Plus you have to factor in shipping, wait time and the fact that it's a refurb over brand new. It makes way more sense to just walk out of Staples with a brand new unit today for less money than pay more for a refurb and have to wait a week for shipping.

Virtually no difference between the two. But the rest of your reasoning makes sense.

Looks like a UPS employee threw some boxes and should be fired. That's why I prefer picking up in store.

Ymmv but my best buy price matched staples online ipad deal. So I got a 32gb ipad for $379.

I was gonna get the air2 to replace my 3 originally, but at $599 for the 64 I was going to get, I can't justify damn near twice the price for what little difference there is between the two
