iPad iPad Air Exchange Question

I'm exchanging my iPad Air at an Apple Store in a city away from home. Do I need to have the box?

I think so. I think it's only when you are getting an Applecare or warranty replacement that they only need the device.

I exchanged my 32GB Gray iPhone 5s with 64 GB Gold. I did not give them the box or any accessories. I still have Space Gray box with me but gold phone. Give it a try, they most probably will do it.
