Replacing the digitizer on an iPad Air. This is the 4th Air I have done and this one is giving me fits. After installing the glass Siri turns on and announces the time and does not let me open the screen or any other screen commands. (turns out that was the assisted touch turn on) I have tried 5 different digitizers from 3 different suppliers. I have tried covering the home button cable and digitizer cable with electrical tape to avoid from touching the frame.

I have used electrical tape on everything I can think of to avoid cable contact with the frame. The glass has at times worked for a few moments. ( 30 sec + ) Then it will start phantom touching in many different areas. It will also not allow touch sometimes. Hate this iPad right now!

What am I missing?

It's still under warranty, no?
