iPad iPad Air Held Up In Korea... Anyone Else?

I too am curious. Usually they go from China directly to Alaska with no stop in Korea.

Unfortunately, I don’t recall the routes taken by the Apple products I’ve ordered in the past, however, I find it strange that after arriving in Korea on the 19th, my iPad Air remained there for almost three days before failing to clear customs.

According to the Wikipedia page on the Chengdu airport, UPS does not have any flights to Anchorage. However, Fedex does. So perhaps this explains why UPS flew our iPads Air to Incheon (Seoul), from where UPS does fly to Anchorage.

It's left Anchorage, but still no delivery estimate... Still just says In Transit. =\

The Anchorage to Louisville flight that left at 11:55AM (UPS 6099) landed about 30 minutes ago so they should be updating the tracking info soon, if it was on this flight.

That's when tracking said it left. Dude, you're my hero. Thank you for the updates.

I ordered my iPad Air 128GB Cellular on the 8th of November (it was released on the 5th in New Zealand) and it still hasn't come yet.

My tracking info has been updated to delivery by Monday

That seems quite strange? Have you contacted them? Perhaps the delay is because it's cellular?

So... I posted this elsewhere but I decided to make my own thread.

My iPad Air was supposed to be delivered tomorrow but then I get a status update for this...

Anyone else? Am I even going to be getting it anytime soon? Such a disappointment. I knew something was wrong when I saw it held up in Korea for days...

I'm in the exact situation. Right now its in Louisville, KY, shipped from China > held and released from Korea > Anchorage, AK and now Louisville. I find it weird because its suppose to ship to California.

Update: Called Apple. They're sending out a shipment investigation to see exactly how long it might be.

The customer service of this company is ridiculous. They're sending me a free smart case for the Air for my inconvenience. Hopefully it'll get sorted out with the shipment delay (which is UPS's fault, not Apple's), but their customer service is impeccable.

What did you tell apple? I want a free smart case.

Louisville is home to UPS Worldport. Pretty much all air shipments will go through Louisville.

It flies into Louisville, shorted and put on another plane out. You would not believe the number of planes that take off and land here. This is one of the busiest airports (at night) in the US.

My iPad Air is now 45 miles from my house, so I'll probably receive it in Monday ... One business day late

Just curious.. the iPad Air isn't for sale in Korea yet on Apple's website. How is your's getting delivered to Korea?

The plane may have had a mechanical issue and they had to divert the flight to Seoul.

I think stopping in Korea was scheduled, otherwise the iPads wouldn’t have spent 3 days.

Apparently my iPad Air is out for delivery today :)

Same here, brother. It's being delivered to work, and working for AT&T we get the UPS dude here super early in the day so it should be any minute now he strolls through that door. :)

Mine was delivered and I’m restoring from iCloud. I’m not sure how I feel about the screen ... when I tap it, it feels plastic-like.

That's how the mini was so I guess I'm used to it. Mine is restoring right now. All my customers are getting jealous. :)

Maybe having a mini ruined my idea of a good screen, but holy hell this thing is gorgeous. I love the screen, the Slate Grey, and the size/weight. So beautiful.
