Hi there,

I have an iPad Air 4G 32GB and iPad Mini 2 Retina 4G 16GB. I also have an iPhone 5s 16GB.

Both my iPads have several lag in:

Typing, anything related to the keyboard

Stuff like searching through contacts and other similar stuff

Lag in general

The speed is way way way slower compared to iOS 9.3.3. To the point of being unusable. The situation isn't anywhere near as bad as with my iPhone 5s.

I have tried many Public Beta versions of iOS 10 including and up to Public Beta 5.

I have went back to iOS 9.3.3 many times and it is perfect yet again.

The above problems don't exist on iOS 9.3.3 or older iOS versions. They do exist on iOS 9.3.4 but to a lesser extent.

I have tried every iPad fix known to man including but not limited to:

Resetting all settings
Clearing memory by hard booting the device
Keyboard cache clear
Disabling all fancy stuff like animations, safari icloud and a lot more.

Do others with older iPads have the same issue?

Thanks and God Bless!

P.S. For some/most stuff iOS 10 is actually faster than iOS 9.3.3 on my iPads. But then typing and other stuff is so delayed and slow, that it becomes unusable. :(

this is the single most frustrating thing about iOS for me. typing input lag is something where even a little bit adds a lot of frustration, and apple doesn't seem to know how to write an OS that doesn't introduce this onto my devices after they hit the magical two year mark. i know the newer os's are "doing lots more" but i can't think of any magical new feature i'd rather it be doing when i'm in my messages app than just converting my key taps into text.

With public beta 6 it is much better. However, there is still some typing lag and that is very irritating!!
[doublepost=1471707390][/doublepost]Also, mail is very slow! On iOS 9 mail is fine.

in keyboard settings i see there is "auto-correction", "check spelling" and "predictive" which presumably are all constantly scanning a dictionary as one types. i'm disabling auto-correction and predictive, as i'm finding those results more often than not unhelpful anyway. fingers crossed it makes things a little more responsive.

I notice on an air 1 when I open chrome and start typing right away nothing happens for a second or two.. then the letters appear and it catches up. Its quite annoying.

I'm seeing barely perceptible keyboard lag when typing on my iPhone 6. It's enough to be slightly annoying but not enough to be a serious problem.

I really hope they can optimize away this lag before final release.
