Hey all. I did score a MKB for this rig and I have a few questions. I really don’t want to if I don’t have to, but a friend of mine swears I should get a screen protector because he feels his MKB scratches his iPad. I did purchase the spigen case that works with the MKB because I’ll also want to use it as a tablet outside of work. What are your thoughts on this? Personally I don’t want to run a screen protector if it’s a non issue. Thanks for your feedback.

I would consider it a non-issue. my old 2020 iPad Pro was used almost exclusively with a keyboard and I traveled with it a bunch over the last 6 years. there might be micro scratches or something, but nothing ive ever noticed while using it. definitely no major scratches. im not super anal about that stuff though and dont use a screen protector on anything.

Have an ipad air 4 with its MKB since 2020, and also an iPP M4 with MKB since 2024. Always attached to their mkb, opened and closed. Never used screen protectors on my ipads. No scratches that i can see at all. I regularly clean the screens and keyboards with microfibre cloths though, to avoid a bit of debris scratching anything.
ive never had any issues....cant imagine apple would make an accessory that is designed to use almost all the time and have it scratch the screen

IMO a "Screen protector" in ANY condition looks worse than whatever affect the MKB might have.
