Hi All,

I had intended on purchasing a 64GB iPad Air 4, which had been on sale for $499, however it appears that I have missed the sales that the Best Buy and Amazon were having. Just curious if anyone who has historically tracked sales would have any idea if the iPad Air 4 is likely to be on sale again anytime fairly soon. I am kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on this yesterday.

Thanks!

Best Buy seems to have sales centered around holidays so maybe there will be a Labor Day sale. I would bet there will likely be another iPad Air 4 sale within the month, but the discount might not be as much. Flexibility about the color might help you snag one at a discount too.

You can also keep an eye on AppleInsider's (sorry MR ...) iPad Air 4 price charts. I don't know how often it's updated since it still shows the $499 BB price, but it's worth a shot.

Thanks for the info and thoughts! I will keep my eyes open for the $499 price again. Hopefully Labor Day... Would you say that it is likely we will see the sales again in the coming weeks? Still kicking myself for not jumping on the good pricing a week or so ago.

Thanks again!

This has been historically the biggest discount:

If you are looking for a great bargain, this in my opinion is a much better deal:

have yet to find a price tracker/watcher that shows current sale prices, none have been acurrate.

Best Buy is having $499 again. However you can get better deal from Target like I just did. Just use the Chat function with Target and ask for price match to Best Buy $499. Then pay with PayPal linked to Discover, you can get additional 10% and 5%. Make sure you add the 10% Target offer to your wallet.

In my case, Target will refund the $100+tax difference in gift card, which is fine to me, as I will purchase Apple Pencil anyway.

Is it better to get the Air on sale now at Best Buy or wait to see what the Ipad 9th gen looks like next month? Is it safe to say the Ipad 9th get will receive the Bionic 14 as well? I will be using it for teaching next year but also for college and zoom atm. I currently have a MBA 2020 intel as well so the Ipad will be a companion.

Air 4 is mid level iPad that is better than budget iPad 8 in any category. If you don’t want to miss the Best Buy or Target deal, you can order Air 4 now and just return it within 30 days if you see IPad 9 uses A14 and bigger screen/better LCD as rumored. Personally if you plan use it for teaching next year, you can wait for Air 5.

I would wait if I could but my wife and I need an extra screen for classes on zoom that occur simultaneously. So needless to say we either need another laptop or iPad but I am leaning towards an iPad atm.
