I purchased a Verizon mini retina ipad and immediately went to an ATT store and they put a SIM card in for me. The ipad works fine and is in the LTE network. They even gave me a 100 dollar credit on my bill for adding the line.

So the att model will work with any carrier hut harder to get verizon if sprint to add that number
