iPad ipad air Smart case or cover

Theres been a lot of talk on here about the new smart cases and covers for the air. So which do you prefer and why?

I love the Smart Cover, but for a full case I would go third-party.

The smart case provides too much bulk and extra weight. For now I will go with the Smart Cover even though its made of polyurethane as well as a TPU back cover. I'm hoping there will be a third party leather Smart Cover option soon.

I had a smart case on my iPad 2 but I think this time I'll go for a smart cover and then a Switcheasy Coverbuddy when they launch them.

People that have had previous versions of the Coverbuddy, does it match the colour of the smart covers? Because I was thinking of getting red for both
