Just purchased the new smart cover and the magnets seem very weak.

If I hold the ipad upside down (screen completely down) the smart cover flaps open. Anyone else have this? It also seems very loose even when the ipad is upright.

Trying to figure out if I got a bum case or this is how it is.

    That is how it is.
Magnets are for wake/sleep not for keeping the cover secured.

Yep I noticed the same thing... the cover on my iPad 2 had much stronger magnets so the cover would stay attached and never come loose... That was part of the reason along with it not folding in half that I returned mine.

It seems like the only magnets that are strong on the new Smart Cover are the ones on the left to hold it on to the iPad. It seems like there are either less magnets or just weaker ones on the new one.
