My biggest issue with the air product line continues to be lack of Face ID. The touch button absolutely sucks. I need nothing else the pro offers.

I’m tossing up between a 12.9 m2 pro or a new 13” air, can’t decide if the newer chip and support for new pencil is worth it. Same cost (2022 pro 2nd hand). Finding the choice very difficult

You’ll get two more years of full iPadOS updates with the new Air. At the same price, I’d go for that. I had the option of going for the 13-inch M4 iPad Pro or 13-inch M2 iPad Air last year. I went for the Air and haven’t regretted it. And you’d be getting the M3.

That’s very true about the upgrade life. I’m leaning towards the Air. I will miss Face ID though

Has anyone done an A to B comparison and been able to see differences in the Air and Pro’s screens? I have done this multiple times and can’t tell, thus I hoping that if someone tells me what to look for, I might be able to see the differences.

I like the thinness of the Pro and the Face ID, but I am having a hard time justifying $400 for these features.

Yes I have done many such A/B comparisons. It is your [likely untrained] eyes/brain that do not see the differences. So just go with what you see [or don't see] and save $400. To me the display and the speakers are hella different between MBP and MBA; the display brightness alone makes the MBA a non-starter for me. But what I see/hear is irrelevant to your purchases.

Do you mean iPad and not MacBook?
