Hi all just bought an ipad air for Xmas for my daughter I want to buy a keyboard for it but I'm not sure which generation it is A1474 model number. Thanks

It's the first gen iPad Air (info via MacTracker).

I have an Apple BT keyboard in an Origami case/stand. It just folds around the keyboard when not in use. (http://www.amazon.com/Incase-CL5793...8&qid=1416484062&sr=8-9&keywords=origami+case)

If you're looking for a combo keyboard and case for the iPad, I don't have a lot to add, other than the Logitech one looked interesting. For me, though, I like to keep the Air "native" and stick with the Smart Cover.

Theirs some advertised for 5th gen ipad air would mine be compatible with it?

I have a Logitech keyboard on my Air, which isn't a case, it snaps closed over the screen, giving it good protection, it doesn't add much bulk or weight, it is very slim, and good typing experience.

I also have an Apple Bluetooth keyboard.

I use just a Smart Cover when I don't need a keyboard.

I also really like the Zagg Keys Pro, which I have on my ipad4. It is heavier, very solid, and has backlit keyboard.

I was looking at something like this!
