I’m currently on 10.1.1 and am wondering whether the upgrade to 12 is worth it or will it just kill my battery as most updates do?! Any discernible benefit in upgrading? iPad is running smoothly at almost 3 years so happy to leave it if there’s no major benefits to updating.

Been running the iOS 12 beta since the first day. not noticed any difference to battery life. It seems zippier than iOS 11 too!

I haven't noticed any issues it seems to run smoothly on mine. Can't say on battery life mine is 4 years old and has a lost some capacity but that wasn't ios 12's doing just wear on the battery.

I bought mine as a refurb a couple years ago.

Battery still runs strong and hasn’t changed since upgrading to 12.

My battery has lost some of its life since I've had it since launch, but there's no discernible drop since moving to 12.

My air 2 runs iOS 12 beautifully. No noticeable drop in battery life, and a definite performance uptick from 11!

iPad air 2 on iOS 12 here. Same battery life, a little bit increased performance.
