iPad and iPad 2 screen viewing angles

From my observations, it appears that the iPad 2 screen has a better viewing angle when compared to the first generation iPad.

Is the iPad 2 screen better or...?

Yes it does.I have a iPhone 4 and 4S and it has better viewing angles than both of those

That's surprising, considering that my iPad 1 already has a 178 degree viewing angle. Can you see an iPad 2 screen from behind or something?

I think it's because the glass is a little bit thinner, so there's less light refraction.
