ok, I am sure this will get moved and I did search but I can't find this out. I have an iTunes account that I use with my iPad, the wife has an iTunes account just for music. She recieved a $50 iTunes card for the holidays and only wants to buy a few songs and then use the rest for some apps on my account for the iPad. Can we do this or when you load the card does the whole amount credit your itunes account and you can't split it up. Thanks for any help

Can you gift songs like you do apps? If so, load it into your account and gift her the songs she wants.

Edit: Just checked, you can gift her the songs she wants.

you can only gift using a credit card, not an itunes giftcard. Ive tried.

Bummer. Wife and I share the account, so it's not an issue. (She is a Mac App Store user only). We only use gift cards.

Edit: The more I think about that, the more it chaps my arse.
