Does anyone have any guesses or ideas why Apple decided that News+ audio should only be available on the iPhone and is not available on the iPad nor the Mac? Seems like a really odd decision, but I imagine there might be some rationale behind it, perhaps including commercial agreements about what types of devices such audio can be used on?

Really disappointed they haven't added the audio to the iPad and Mac News app even in Sonoma.
While I rarely would play it on my Mac , I really wanted to be able to browse/search "articles" and add them to my saved so I could play them on my walks in the morning when I'm out of my regular PodCast content.
