I have to imagine Adobe will come out with a Lightroom iPad edition to compete with iPhoto? Illustrator and Photoshop would be great but how would you get such accurate lines/points using your fingers?

Look at the app store currently. Then think how all those apps could change somehow, to better fit a larger multitouch screen.

You might want to check the thread trying to list apps that have been confirmed as coming to the iPad (e.g. smule's said they're going to be pushing hard with the iPad, there's iWork, etc etc)

I can easily see this:

- Tablet app for iPad that doubles as input tablet for your Mac for Photoshop/Illustrator, maybe even Final Cut & Motion. hmm.

- App that connects to your DSLR at photoshoots for instant larger preview.
EyeFi could easily do this ala their Mac app.

- Filemaker app to connect to current served databases in your org.

- Portable DJ mixing station.

- The medical and sales fields are ripe with iPad app opportunities.
Medical imaging wireless throughout a multi-location practice would not be too hard to do.

- Moving the meager whole house automation apps from the iPhone/Touch to iPad utilizing the larger screen for video feeds from home security cams.

Shortsighted people are viewing the iPad as a strictly a consumer device or web browser/Hulu viewer, when in essence the true value is in the coming and evolving third party apps.

It is a platform, not just a product.
