I recently purchased an iPad a few days ago and I'm trying to register applecare+ for my ipad, but I'm seeing only subscription plan! Is this normal? Can't I just pay for full cost?

I had to call 1-800-MY-APPLE to have them add AppleCare+. It was $129. (Monthly comes to $144 over 24 months)

Iirc, there are two menus for signing up for AC+. The first one just shows "sign up for as low as $x per month", the next screen shows the option between full price and monthly (might need to scroll down to get the desired option).

They have removed that option :( - Even when going through all the steps, still shows monthly only.
