I have an iPad 2 that I recently dropped. After it ran out of battery, I charged it and tried to turn it on. The iPad then started to turn on, and then got stuck in a boot loop. In that boot loop, I noticed that it went through "stages". First it would show the Apple Logo, the screen would dim, and it would linger for 10 or so seconds before the iPad reset. The second stage would be the Apple Logo, and the screen would go blank for about a minute before the iPad reset. Any attempt to send the iPad into DFU mode has failed, and I really don't want to shell out another $500 dollars for an iPad. Can anyone help?

This can be caused by either 4 things.

1) Your power button is permanently compressed, causing the device to think you want to shut it off while its powering on.

2) Your battery has gone bad.

3) You have caused chip damage to the logic board, and the device simply does not want to boot up.

4) Software issues. Needs restore.
