iPad browse and stream Mac content?

    Can you browse OSX shared content from within iOS5?

    Can iOS5 stream video located on OSX shares?

    You can do this with iOS 4 and airvideo...

    And if it's in iTunes and you have Home Sharing turned on, you don't even need that.

    Yeah, but airvideo will stream .avi, .mkv, etc. You can also access the files over thew internetwebs, which is quite handy.

    if you're using plex on your Mac the iOS app is pretty near excellent, i almost never have problems with streaming from it compared to airvideo/zumocast. also has support for AVI, MPG, MKV etc
