Unlikely considering the rumors that they are pulling the plug on the 5C. The 5C wasn't cheaper enough to be worth it.

The 5C wasn't low cost and it wasn't exactly selling like hot cakes. Apple had to reduce their suppliers manufacturing because of high inventory numbers, i.e., not selling.

What, you mean the iPad Mini? Low(est) cost and has Lightning (not Lightening. 😉 ).

Why would Apple make an even cheaper iPad when the ones they have are selling like gangbusters?

So you guys think, we will have iPhone 4S, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6
and Ipad 2, Ipad Air2?

The 4S is getting long in the tooth, I suspect 5S and 6 only since the 5C bombed.

iPad Mini w/ Retina, Air, Air 2 would be my prediction.

But who knows, it's Apple. Just have to wait and see.

Many of the schools around here have been refreshing their tablets with iPad Mini (1st gen).

I think Apple might ditch the iPad 2 (get rid of the 30pin).
Leaving, iPad Mini, iPad Mini w/retina, iPad Air, iPad Pro(?)

They will not release an iPad air 2 and an iPad air. I think the air will only get slight update and they will keep the 2

I don't think saying the mini is a low cost version of the iPad is very fair. That's kind of like saying the S4 is a low cost version of the Note 3 (I don't know the actual prices just using screen size as an example).

iPad 2 is a low cost version of the iPad.

iPad mini (gen 1) is a low cost version of the iPad mini retina.

To me personally the mini is for someone looking for a smaller, more portable tablet. So a different market.

Btw I'm not saying that people haven't bought the mini to save a buck.

I'd have to agree, especially since the price difference is so small these days.
