iPad cannibalizing Apple TV

Because the $99 Apple TV can do it without a $499 iPad attached?

Because some people would rather do it wireless. Plus apple Tv is a whole lot more than just viewing your ipad on your tv.
Also, you don't call losing a $99 sale in favor of a $499 one "cannibalizing" you call it an "upsell."
Previously if you were going to buy a iPad and Apple TV, now you'll just buy a iPad.
What? I use a $30 cable now to watch content from my iPad on my TV. Nothing has changed though it doesn't mirror whatever is on the screen.
Lets see... a 30 dollar cable, or a 99 Apple TV that is plugged in and won't run out of juice in the middle of a marathon movie watching session.
The answer is....both. I have an Ipad and an Apple tv and find myself watching movies on the apple tv while using the ipad to surf, and answer emails.
Great idea! I'm gonna sell all 4 of more apple tvs and replace them with 16gb ipads. I guess I should buy an extra just in case I leave the house and someone is watching tv using all the other ipads though...
You can charge the iPad at the same time as video mirroring
