A strange problem that I cannot resolve. My iPad will not connect to the server using my Mac Pro's Internet Sharing by wifi.

  • The Mac Pro is connected to the network by ethernet and my iMac can connect to the Mac Pro's Internet Sharing
  • The iPad connects (3 bars), but Safari reports that it "could not open the page because the server stopped responding"
  • All of my other wifi apps are unresponsive, too
  • At home, the iPad works just fine by wifi from my AEBSn
My iPhone has the same problem. It seems there's a setting that I need to adjust. Any ideas?

I have no idea.. but make sure you have the share internet option turned on... If that is not turned on, you will be able to see the network, and even sign into it.. but the Hub Computer will not share the the internet unless you turn that on...

I had the same problem. Called the support of internet provider company and they sent someone to my house. It turned out some settings on Modem blocked internet sharing.
There's a great chance your problem is caused by modem.

Thanks for the replies. What I don't understand is why my iMac (and MacBook Pro) connect just fine, but my iOS devices do not.

Ok, problem solved. I deleted the wifi sharing on my Mac Pro and created a new one and it appears to be working with both iOS devices and Macs.

Hmm. Broke again. And my previous solution no longer works. WTH is going on here?
