iPad cannot sync

    My dad's iPad won't sync to his MacBook right now. When he tries, it tells him an unknown error occured, error code 13019. He's tried resetting the settings on the iPad, restoring it with iTunes, turning off each category of items to sync, but with no luck. Any suggestions of troubleshooting steps short of taking it to the Apple Store? He'd rather not have to right now, plus he won't be able to for a while.

    I'm pretty good with computers, and I'll be around for the next few days, so any suggestions I can try soon would be great.
