I am a single individual. I own two iPads: the 64 GB WiFi and the 64 GB 3G. I bought each of them on their respective launch days. I actually have used both of them at the same time to play Scrabble, but most of the time I just use one at a time. I have found that it is handy to have two, as when I run out of battery power on one I just pick up the second one as I am sticking the first on the charger. I always have an iPad with me, at home and away from home. My initial intent when purchasing the 3G was to sell the WiFi one but as time goes by the less and less I am interested in doing so.

That's my story, whether or not anyone else approves or disapproves. It is my money and no one else really has the right to pass judgement on what I choose to do with it.

I love my two iPads. One is on the charger right now as I am using the other to write this post and to read posts on this forum......

I know several folks myself included that have multiple pads. Lots of folks in line with me on the 3rd were buying multiple. I personally don't use more than one at a time but whatever floats is all good. As summer vacation kicks into gear i will be traveling with 3 of 'em.

I am going to Check out the case at fry that was posted in this thread.

Ok, having multiple one's is one thing but why?

Why does someone need a reason to own more than one of anything? If he can afford it, and wants to do it, then who's to say he shouldn't?

I don't need all of my guns, hell, I don't even need one of them. I wanted them, I could afford them, I purchased them.

If Daremo wants multiple iPads and can afford them, then he should purchase them. If Daremo wants to help poor people out, and can afford it, then he should probably help poor people out.

There's nothing to argue about here. It's Daremo's money to do with what he pleases.

Wow...you actually felt pressured? That is quite telling...

Don't read too deeply here pal, some random name on a forum apply's zero pressure in my life. I was simply pointing out you're attempt at shouting your ideals.

So you felt manipulated into guilt because of a post that expressed my opinion about buying more than one iPad for personal use? While you have the freedom to purchase anything, shoot, you even have the freedom to purchase drugs that kill you if you want to. Guess what? I have the freedom of objecting to the decisions you make just like you clearly took advantage of the freedom you have to disagree with me. The problem is that I'm being consistent with these freedoms and you're not. I assume that you will be against purchasing a gun and robbing a bank or going on a killing spree or even buying drugs that are harmful, especially if its a dear loved one, and if so, than those are ideals, and yes, your ideals. Assuming that you have children, I hope you're not telling them to buy anything they want and that no one should question their decision. I doubt that you are or you will.

You're so full of assumptions that you actually had installed pressure or guilt in me... No, sorry. It's THIS simple, and this is WHY I called you out from the beginning... There's a section of this forum where you can feel free to post about your rightous propaganda. Here's a link for you. Politics, Religion, Social Issues, and in there, you can chat all you want about what people should and shouldn't do in their lives, with their money. You're ideals don't belong in a thread about a iPad case holding 2 iPads. I'm actually surprised a moderator didn't remove all of this by now as considering this is dangerously close to Rule number 2 in the "Things NOT TO DO" section,

#2 Off-topic posts will be deleted/edited. If you keep doing it see #5. Threads and posts on controversial political, religious, and social issues are to be limited to the Politics, Religion, Social Issues forum, and made only by those eligible for that forum.

And for this very reason, this is my last post on the topic. Feel free to get in the last word, I'm done with you.

Thank you kind sir. I too, enjoy my firearms as well. :D

And to return ON TOPIC...

If anyone comes across a side by side case for 2 iPads, please post them here. I would love to get my hands on one, as this would be VERY useful to me.

First of all, I can't believe you actually hissed at my post, secondly, all you did was hiss, and thirdly, while I see legit reasons for having more than one car ( utility purposes) TV ( different places in your home, apt, etc) or a Bathroom ( different floors), I see no good reason for one person to have two iPads, let alone three iPads. No you're not the devil, but most-likely you're a selfish or greedy person. What the heck do you need three iPads for?

And yes, if you are able to buy more than one car, three iPads, etc, perhaps you should think of ways of how you can share your wealth.

My goodness, you will think the more money you have the less needs you'll have but it seems like the more money people have the more greedy and selfish they become.

Little harsh there guy....

There can be situations that two or more iPads are needed or wanted. Had a customer that came in to the shop today and handed off an iPad to his kids as he shopped - they were in the 6 to 8 yo range. And if I had kids that age I would not hand off my own iPad to them.

See this post:

How is it ridiculous?

My immediate thought was trading stocks: One screen to watch news and tickers and the other to trade on.

Or music: One for sheet music, the other for a playable instrument.

Or translation/transcription: One to display the foreign language source, the other for writing the translation.

All niche applications, granted. No doubt there are more.

I just read an article on a dual screen eReader.

I also do not see it being a stretch for dual screens. It would be great if wireless sync ever is implemented and you can swap files between the two iPads.

2 iPads Case

I actually found this thread because I too was wondering if a case like this actually existed. I don't think it is too far out to consider, but here is an alternative.

Instead of seeing 2 applications on 2 side by side iPads why not the capability to see 2 application side by side on 1 iPad?

Now that sounds like a revolutionary idea!

(tongue firmly implanted in cheek)

I highly doubt that there is a case especially designed to keep two iPads (but who knows, maybe an chinese knock-off on ebay maybe?).

The question is if you want a case just so you can use both at the same time or if you simply want to protect both of them.

If it's about protection, how about putting smart cases on each one, to protect the screen. And then put them both in one (thick) netbook sleeve, two iPads = one netbook ... regarding the high, I guess even slimmer.

Just my two cents :)

good luck!
