All iPads iPad cellular swapping sims from AT&T?

Can you take out your sim from an iPhone 5 and use it in the new iPad for data? I'm still on an unlimited plan and don't want to sign up for another data plan.

You can but you'll get a "friendly" reminder from AT&T that you shouldn't be using your iPhone SIM on the iPad.
