iPad charger

I don't know this is the right place to put this question but I am having trouble charging my iphone 3G using my iPad charger...actually phone is been charged but iphone indicator doesn't show any progress.. To get the precise charge update, i need to switch off iPhone and then need to restart, now it's indicator shows right percentage.

Does it mean that iPad charger is not 100% compatible with iPhone ????

No, it is 100% compatible as confirmed in the Apple support pages. I have not encountered the issue you are describing.

Same happened with me with 3G charger and iPad. iPhone 4 charger works fine with iPad/
