I have an iPad that will not charge after a power outage. The iPad and another table were plugged into the same outlet when the power went out. Since then, the iPad and the tablet will not charge. I have tried different cords/bricks with the iPad and currently have it charging at a different location.

I'm thinking that it got fried because of the power outage. Any additional things I can try before I sent it to my school's technology folks?

Power surge?

Power surge?
Yep, power went out. Not sure how long it took for it to come back on. This iPad belongs to one of my teachers at my school. The iPad shows the red battery screen, so it has enough juice to show that but it isn't getting enough power to charge up.
