I just ordered that aluminum one posted above. It looks awesome and just like Apple's. However, I was able to get it on buy.com for $34 shipped 🙂. Lot better than the $50 dreamgear is asking. Now I know why they're called "dreamgear."

It would be pretty easy to make something almost the same from a variety of materials.

How can you patent a round thing cut at an angle.
It must be specific to that exact size/material.

but if someone makes something, but smaller, or different material, like the aluminum, then can apple sue them?

How would you use that at home anyway? It's more for display than anything else.
