I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my iPad 3G and I have a concern.

The PC desktop that I have now which has all of my music and such on it was purchased in April 2002 and is lacking USB 2.0 ports.

My question is this: will it still sync with the iPad? I have no problem with my iPods, yet the specs page on the Apple website states that the iPad requires USB 2.0.

I am graduating from graduate school next month, and once I find out where I'm going to be next year, I am planning on purchasing a new iMac. I just don't want to buy the iMac now and then haul it all the way across the country and risk damaging that beautiful 27" screen.

So will the iPad still sync and such but will be much slower at it? Or will it not sync at all? Is there anything special I need to do for it to work?

I am asking now to avoid any disappointment on April 30th! Thank you. :)
