Anyone having issues with iPad 2 crashing and rebooting after doing the update? Seems to be when I'm in safari.

I am!

My iPad2 has been rebooting randomly the past few days since iOS5.0.1 was installed. It mainly happens whilst I'm tethered to my iPhone 4S and in Safari, but yesterday it happened in the game W.E.L.D.E.R.

I had some similar issues several months ago and Apple talked me through various forms of restore finally ending in using a different user profile on my PC to install from. That seemed to work and the iPad2 was stable until just recently when I installed 5.0.1.

In fact my 4S rebooted this morning, so this doesn't bode well.

Yep

Same here, and my iPad would not connect to my wifi network either. I ended up with a DFU brick.

Here is how I fixed it.

FIRST: Make sure no other device is showing in iTunes (switch wifi off on your iPhone etc.)

Then connect the iPad using a cable only.

Restore the iPad to factory settings

Now try the update nd restore.

This worked for me, and I can only assume that because my 4S was on and showing it somehow screwed up the update.

Hope it works out for you.
