This flight possibly?

Yes. Why wouldn't it be? Because it's listed as 'UPS Airlines'? They have one of the largest fleets of airplanes for shipping, and have even designed their own avionics for their planes. They have all levels of delivery opportunities for air freight, including same day (Sonic).

Most shipments go through ANC too, usually for refueling, but they also, I believe, break up pallets and route some stuff south to the west coast.

So my Ipad Pro 11 has been in "preparing to ship" for six days? The delivery date estimate still shows "May 21-May 28". Is this typical to have it stuck for so long?

My older model IPP 13 sat 'preparing' for a few days. Not 6, but I was wondering what was going on. That is the problem with watching shipping progress. The delays drove me nuts, but then I looked at the dates, and realized it wasn't as long as my 'gotta have it now' wanted me to think. I have waited for a couple of things that seemed to be 'stuck' for a few days. *shrug* It'll move to the next level when it's ready. Yeah, it sucks, I get it... I think I waited 4 days for the Pencil to ship. 'Where is it?' And then I lost it. UPS didn't, I did. Sad...?

EDIT: I ordered some wheels for my bike from the UK, and was frantic because it was taking so long. They arrived 2 days after I ordered them. I need to get a grip on that anticipation thing. It about drove me nuts. I was embarrassed...

If it's lost, they know. It'll be replaced. If they do, it will have a different tracking number...

I’m curious, why don’t those who live close to apple stores just get one via in store pickup insstead of waiting for weeks via the pre order? I got one in store on launch day when I set up a instore pickup an hour before the store opened. Most models were available at 10am.
The store doesn’t have 2TB wireless configuration (at least none around here. Plus I’m not as likely to get the price break I got (which seems to have either been a mistake or a goodwill gesture for the launch day hassles, in addition to the normal .edu break). Maybe the extra will evaporate if it was a mistake, but maybe it won’t.

On North American soil! It’s quite remarkable how quickly it’s moved today, after being in China for so long.

Meanwhile mine’s not even sure of its own existence.
There are 7 UPS planes (5 747s, 2 767s) enroute from Anchorage to Louisville. Based on the landing time in ANC of 12:10pm, out stuff could have made it onto any one of these 7. Find out in the morning I guess

But, does anything exist at all anyway? Hmm...

I went to a lecture on quantum dynamics, and saw someone I worked with there. We talked afterwards. I thought the lecture was amazing. Very well researched, and presented. They? Well... They had a week of nightmares over some of the things the presenter said.

Basically one of the beliefs of quantum mechanics is that nothing says that anything has to exist. What that means, to flippantly state it, 'if you blink your eyes, and the universe still exists, it's a miracle'. Apparently that really warped them. I tried not to laugh when they told me they were having problems with that idea. I told them that, statistically speaking, the chances that the universe would disappear in the blink of an eye is so incredible unlikely, that to worry about it is like worrying about getting hit by lightning. I mean, that happens even more often than the universe disappearing in the blink of an eye. They thought about that and thanked me for explaining it that way. 'But' I said, 'It still IS possible for the universe to disappear. It's just so much, incredibly unlikely to happen. Don't worry about it.' They left still looking a little uneasy, but I did what I could. o_O:oops::p:cool:

yes agree. UPS99 is back enroute as are others. If it’s on one there’s 4 flights over to PHL for me overnight so definitely still possible to get it tomorrow as initially looking but of course all is up for guess. I’m actually encouraged there’s been no change at this point as it increases likelihood it’s already on the way. This is round 2 of iPads - it isn’t preorder iPhones for launch day I kind of doubt those of us in a group are THAT broken up.

I played the 'where is it' game last year. I was tracking flights, and looking at everything I could to see what was going on. Where is it!

It was coming out of the UK. I scanned the airports around the last terrestrial location of it, and found a good candidate. I watched that airport for hours. No shipping companies in, or out for DAYS! That airport has one day, with 2 flights, and it was 5 days until the next bolus of flights. I was frantic... I started looking at other airports farther out, and kinda struck out. It was supposed to be coming DHL.

Then I found out that DHL subcontracted carriers to carry their stuff, although they do have their own planes. Sometimes (often?) it's more economical to place small packages from out of the way sources on a 'hired' flight to get it to a nearby hub, or to get it significantly closer to the destination.

So, my package is scanned stateside, and I can't figure out what flight it took. Sneaky... It arrived the next morning. 24-hours from an idyllic UK village, surrounded by fields and cows, and it's on it's way to my house, and I can't figure out what flight it was on. They were good... Sneaky, SUPER sneaky...

It'll get there. But it is fun to think you are seeing it actually flying across the ocean/nation. I'm kind of an aviation geek, so yeah.

What pisses me off is when the USPS has a package in a city 2 hours away, and it takes 4 days for it to get here. GRRR... :p:cool:

Didn't think of checking to do this as I'm doing the 0% financing with apple card.
Wow, just nailed a 12.9 Space Gray iPad Pro (2021) 256 GB WiFi for pickup on Saturday May 29th at my local Best Buy here in north Florida. It looks like the other Apple Stores throughout the state are starting to show stock of 12.9’s but with cellular which I didn’t want. Hopefully Best Buy can come through with that pick up date.

Good to see another Canadian making good progress, and my tracking is a carbon copy of yours down to the minute on every single scan except the shipping label. It shows that we’re probably grouped together in the same pallet.

My estimated delivery is one day later than yours, but I’m in Halifax. Theres an extra day needed to fly between our two cities.

I‘m sceptical about the estimated delivery time given by UPS as well, but even if it ends up being a day or two later, I have no right to complain, since it was originally supposed to arrive between June 4-10.
I would trade that extra day for your ocean views and lobster rolls ? Yeah mine said 3-9 June, so this is a big improvement.

Mines left Anchorage, let's see if it can zigzag across North America to get here tomorrow!

Mine arrived at ZhengZhou at around the same time yours did, but now I’m getting this “rescheduling delivery” notice. Anyone have any idea what that means (other than the obvious)?

No one knows. Yours looks like mine and many others. The 4:37 scan isn’t a leaving scan either - it’s just a generic in transit automated message. USPS does something similar when there’s no updates for a bit. This has been the discussion today.

Right now the general assumption is we’re missing scans and the devices are moving along with those that have the scans through Alaska and now enroute to Louisville. If that’s the case when they get the import scans the tracking will work again. If not, we missed the cut today and we’ll see movement out of China tomorrow but it’s all a wait and see. Plenty of times iPhone orders have gone missing on scans between China and the US. Hopefully we’ll know more in the morning.

Touched down in Louisville, KY last night. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that those with missing scans get theirs back today.

Looks like mine’s going to make it here for delivery today after all. My CC is just 3 hours from Louisville, which will get it here in time to go out with today’s deliveries!

I don’t like this latest scan, and have no idea what it means. Maybe it’s something to do with clearing customs for entry into Canada. Also, my estimated delivery is no longer available. It has left Louisville, though, so not all is bad.

(glad to see, though, fireguy286 that yours has left China, even if it ends up being later than expected)

Well so much for the missed scans theory. Thanks for nothing UPS.
Hopefully yours just arrived in Incheon with mine, looks like they left a pallet by accident yesterday in ZhengZhou, and we're a day late (but a week ahead of Apple's promise date)
