iPad Air 2020 (A2316)

My mom has a special ability with electronics. She has an iPad Air 2020 and has managed to get it disabled. It is stuck on a screen that says:

"iPad is disabled connect to iTunes"

She doesn't have a computer so I took it home with me. I am able to connect my iPad Air 2020 and iPhone 13P to the laptop but my mom's doesn't show in iTunes.

I've tried a few different button-based resets but none seem to be working. It is also receiving notifications even though it is disabled. They aren't showing but I can hear them...

Any ideas? I feel like a visit to the Apple Store is in my future.

This will erase the iPad but this is how you can enter DFU mode
Thank you. I actually finally was able to get it into recovery mode. It dropped out during the initial restore attempt. I am now in the second and it seems to be hanging at "Preparing iPad for restore..." in iTunes and the iPad is back to the disabled screen. I am leaving it be for now though in case something happens.
