 Ipad folio lag time?

I just purchased a new Ipad Gen 9. When might I expect to see  release new folio covers for it?
On my previous Ipad Air 2 I tried the magnetic cover first and thought it was crap. I exchanged it for the folio cover, or whatever they call them. I would like to get one for my 9th gen. Ipad but they don't seem to available yet.

I believe the iPad (Gen 9 and previous) only have the "smart cover" which covers only the front.

The iPad Airs and iPad Pros have the magnets in the back which enable the "smart folio" that covers both front and back, and adheres more strongly.

Both of them adhere magnetically. The "smart cover" adheres to the side, the "smart folio" adheres to the back.

Not sure if this is what you mean by "folio covers."

At one point Apple also made "smart cases" where the iPad was pressed into a formed back, that also had a smart cover, often made of leather. I has one of these, but they are no longer made, afaik.

I think you may be out of luck, may need to try third party.

Thanks. This smart case you’re referring to is the one I am looking for.
I tried a magnetic cover on my Air, as I mentioned in my original post and it was always falling off. Junk.
It’s beyond me why  would discontinue it. I just figured release would follow the 9th gen Ipad shortly. I guess 3rd party is my only route. S
