Has anyone had good luck with using an iPad for on line courses such as those offered by uCertify or Udemy or any other sources? I understand some provide apps but is it better than say using a browser to access akin to a computer?

Yeah, the iPad works really well when taking online courses.

I use the Udemy app on my iPad. I like the ability to download the videos for offline use. Great for when I am on the train with no internet access.

Udemy is one of the sources I use and was curious on your take on what 'drive' size is ideal for the iPad if downloading is involved. Your thoughts?

My current iPad is 32GB. Works for me as I don't keep much stored locally. When downloading udemy course, I only download enough for my commutes maybe a little bit longer then it should be accounting for delays. So 32 GB works for me. I am going to upgrade my iPad soon though, but for the screen size not storage. Current iPad is a 9.7 iPad Pro and I am going to move to the 12.9" Pro. So for me, now that the minimum storage is 64GB that is perfect for me.

I'm currently doing accountancy training with my Pro 12.9 + Pencil.

It's a mixture of online lessons, offline reading and coursework. It's great being able to whip out the pen and answer all the questions directly on the iPad.
